The Sports Injuries Course offered by the Swedish Academy of Sport Training (SAST) provides a comprehensive understanding of the types, causes, and prevention of sports injuries. Eligibility

Anyone with the desire and ambition to enter the field of sports injuries and physical therapy (no prior experience required).

What You Will Learn

  4. The leg – anatomy, injuries, examination, and rehabilitation
  5. The knee joint – anatomy, injuries, examination, and rehabilitation
  6. The thigh, hip joint, and pelvis – anatomy, injuries, examination, and rehabilitation
  7. The spine – anatomy, injuries, examination, and rehabilitation
  8. The shoulder, arm, and wrist joint – anatomy, injuries, examination, and rehabilitation
  9. Head injuries and concussions – examination and rehabilitation

Medical care plan for sports field injuries

Study Duration

The course includes 56 study hours, which must be completed within a maximum of three months from the registration date.
The study is conducted online, covering the theoretical material, course book, training videos, and audio lectures via the academy’s website. Students will also complete chapter quizzes and a final theoretical exam on the Swedish Academy’s platform.

Exams and Passing System

All theoretical exams at the Swedish Academy of Sport Training (SAST) are conducted online through the platform, using random questions drawn from the course’s scientific question bank. The exams are graded instantly, and results are displayed immediately after completion, following a defined grading and passing policy for each course.

Chapter Quizzes

Students must pass several mandatory quizzes before moving on to the final exam, as follows:

One mandatory quiz for each chapter of the theoretical material.

  1. Each quiz includes a maximum of 10 multiple-choice questions.
  2. Exam duration depends on the number of questions (1 minute per question).
  3. The passing score for each quiz is 80%.
  4. Quizzes can be retaken an unlimited number of times.

Note: The final theoretical exam cannot be taken until all quizzes have been successfully completed.

Final Theoretical Exam

  1. Students may take the final exam only after successfully completing all mandatory quizzes.
  2. A minimum score of 60% is required to pass the final exam.
  3. The exam consists of 50 multiple-choice questions, with four options per question.
  4. The exam duration is 50 minutes from the start time.
  5. Each student is allowed a maximum of two attempts to pass the exam.
  6. Students who do not pass in two attempts may request additional attempts for USD 50 per attempt.

Graduation Certificate

Upon completing the course and passing all exams successfully, the student receives an official course completion certificate, sent directly to their email and stored in their personal profile on the academy’s platform. The certificate is officially accredited and certified by:

  1. Swedish Academy of Sport Training (SAST)
  2. Global Council of Sport Science (GCSS)
  3. International Council of Sport Science and Physical Education (ICSSPE)
  4. Ministère de la Formation Professionnelle et de l’Emploi (MFPE) – for Tunisian students
