Course Information

The Basic Fitness Training Course offered by the Swedish Academy of Sport Training (SAST) is the first step toward professionalism in the field of personal training and fitness. This course is designed to provide trainees with scientific knowledge and practical applications that help them acquire the fundamental skills of sports training, based on an integrated curriculum that combines theoretical foundations and practical experience according to the latest international standards in training and fitness.

The course is open to anyone interested in entering the field of personal training and fitness. No prior experience is required.
It has been specifically designed for beginners and individuals who wish to build a strong scientific foundation that will help them develop their professional skills in the future.

The course covers a set of essential concepts and subjects that every professional personal trainer needs, including:

The concept of sports training

Motor coordination

Cardiovascular fitness

Sports nutrition

Study System:

The program is offered completely online through the Swedish Academy of Sport Training (SAST) e-learning platform — one of the leading educational platforms in the Arab world, matching European universities and institutes in the quality of its e-learning system.

Students can register and start studying at any time and from anywhere in the world, with 24/7 access to all course materials.
The course offers high flexibility, allowing learners to study according to their own schedules and preferred pace.

Exams and Passing Requirements:

Chapter Quizzes:

  • A mandatory quiz for each chapter of the theoretical material.
  • Each quiz includes up to 10 multiple-choice questions.
  • Exam duration is based on the number of questions (1 minute per question).
  • The passing score for each quiz is 80%.
  • Quizzes can be retaken an unlimited number of times.
  • The final exam cannot be taken until all chapter quizzes are successfully completed.

Final Exam:

  • Available after successfully completing all chapter quizzes.
  • Includes 30 multiple-choice questions.
  • Duration: 30 minutes.
  • Minimum passing score: 60%.
  • Each student is allowed two attempts for the final exam.
  • Students who do not pass may request an additional attempt for USD 50 per extra exam.

Graduation Certificate:

After completing the course and successfully passing all exams, students receive a course completion certificate sent directly to their email and stored in their personal profile on the Academy’s platform.
The certificate is officially accredited and recognized by:

  1. Swedish Academy of Sport Training (SAST)
  2. Global Council of Sport Science (GCSS)
  3. International Council of Sport Science and Physical Education (ICSSPE)
  4. Ministère de la Formation Professionnelle et de l’Emploi (MFPE) – for Tunisian students
