Offered by the Swedish Academy of Sport Training (SAST), this course equips participants with both basic and advanced skills to work in the field of personal training and fitness. The course covers scientific and practical knowledge in musculoskeletal anatomy, biomechanics, components of physical activity, nutrition, and various applied exercises. It is designed to prepare individuals with a strong foundation of practical knowledge and experience, enabling them to work efficiently in gyms or pursue a career as assistant coaches, with a focus on promoting health, fitness, and optimal performance. The course is suitable for anyone interested, with no prior experience required.

Eligible Participants:

What You Will Learn:
Upon completing this course, students will learn:
- Musculoskeletal anatomy
- Biomechanics
- Components of physical activity
- Nutrition
- Applied exercises (basic stability exercises, functional exercises, movement exercises, etc.)
Course Duration:
The course consists of 56 study hours, to be completed within a maximum of 30 days from the start date, divided as follows:
ZOOM Lectures: 12 training hours via Zoom, divided into 4 study days, with 3 theoretical training hours each day.
Practical Training: 6 practical training hours in a fitness gym, divided into 2 days, with 3 hours per day.
Online Study: 38 training hours for theoretical material, including the course book, training videos, and lectures on the Academy’s platform. This also includes performing quizzes and the final theoretical exam on the Swedish Academy platform.

Exams and Passing Requirements:
The course assessments are divided into theoretical and practical exams. The exam plan and passing/failing system are as follows:
1. Theoretical Exams:
All theoretical exams at SAST are conducted online via the platform, with random questions from the course’s scientific curriculum, immediate grading, and results shown directly after completion.
Quarterly Quizzes:
Students must pass a number of mandatory quarterly quizzes before taking the final exam:
- One mandatory quiz per theoretical section.
- Maximum of 10 questions, multiple choice format.
- Exam time: 1 minute per question.
- Passing grade: 80%.
- Quizzes can be retaken unlimited times.
- The final theoretical exam cannot be taken unless all quarterly quizzes are passed successfully.
Final Theoretical Exam:
- Students can take the final exam only after passing all mandatory quizzes.
- Minimum passing grade: 60%.
- The exam includes 50 multiple-choice questions, each with 4 answer options.
- Exam duration: 50 minutes.
- Students have a maximum of 2 attempts to pass.
- Those who fail the 2 attempts can request an additional attempt for a fee of $50 per attempt.
- The practical final exam can only be taken after passing the theoretical final exam.
Final Practical Exam:
- Students perform 20 exercises from Chapter 5 in the gym under supervision, demonstrating 10 repetitions of each exercise with moderate load.
- Assessment is pass/fail, with detailed feedback and notes on performance and execution accuracy.
- Students who fail can retake the exam for a $50 fee per attempt.
- The practical final exam is only allowed after passing the theoretical final exam.
Graduation Certificate:
After completing the course and passing all exams, students receive a certificate of completion, sent to their email and stored in their profile on the Academy’s platform. The certificate is officially accredited and recognized by:

- Global Council of Sport Science (GCSS)
- International Council of Sport Science and Physical Education (ICSSPE)
